Arsene Wenger finally steps down....a new dawn awaits

......end of an era.....

This afternoon in a surprise shock announcement, it has come to notice that the Premier League's longest serving manager who also doubles as the Arsenal head coach Arsene Wenger will lay down his tools at the end of the season after over 20 years at the club.

While serving as manager, he foresaw Arsenal claim the premier league trophy with a clean unbeaten winning strick in the 2003/04 season and has also won other major trophies along.

 his major failure being unable to take the club to the European glory_Reaching the final in 2006 where they lost to Barcelona though all hope is not gone as the Arsenal have made it to the Europa semi final stage where they are to face Spanish giants Athletico Madrid.

Despite many fans criticising his style of play in his last 5 years at the club, he is known to have transformed Arsenal to be the premier League's Barcelona for it's Tictac style of play

In The statement posted on the arsenal website this afternoon read

"Arsène Wenger has issued the following statement:


“After careful consideration and following discussions with the club, I feel it is the right time for me to step down at the end of the season.

“I am grateful for having had the privilege to serve the club for so many memorable years.

“I managed the club with full commitment and integrity.

“I want to thank the staff, the players, the Directors and the fans who make this club so special.

“I urge our fans to stand behind the team to finish on a high.

“To all the Arsenal lovers take care of the values of the club.

"My love and support for ever.”
